Enalapril Maleate / Hydrochlorothiazide is a combination of two active ingredients used as the main active component in the medicines. Enalapril Maleate is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor with antihypertensive activity. It blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. This prevents the potent vasoconstrictive actions of angiotensin II and results in vasodilation. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic used to treat hypertension and edema. It is primarily excreted by the kidneys. This component is diuretic used for the treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure.
