According to reports published by Centers for disease Control and Prevention, in America death reported by the heart diseases is about 610,000 every year, nearly 735,000 people suffer from heart attack every year. In 2007 trusted source revealed that over 299,578 women death was caused due to Heart Diseases. 2009 report says that more than half of the population among the men caused death due to heart problems. American Heart Association published in a recent report “Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics-Update” in 2019 shows that high blood pressure is the main cause behind the Americans’ heart disease.

According to conditions heart diseases are bifurcated in different categories. The most common type is Coronary Heart Disease that causes heart attack. High blood pressure, diabetes, or high level of cholesterol can increase your risk of Cardiac Diseases.

Causes of Cardiac Disease

Heart Disease is caused due to different heart or blood vessels functioning. But, atherosclerosis is the common and main cause of heart disease. Atherosclerosis is deposition of fatty plaques in the arteries, which thickens and stiffens walls of artery due to which blood flow is inhibited to organs and tissues. It is caused by some common reasons like unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, smoking, and obesity.

Some common causes of Cardiovascular Disease include, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking, excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, drug abuse, stress, depression, dietary supplements, infections caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites, rheumatic fever, and damaged valves.

Diagnosis of the heart disease clearly depends on what type of problem you are struggling with. First step is to perform blood tests and chest X-ray. Inform the doctor about your personal and family medical history. To draw a conclusion you need to go through some tests as given below:

Symptoms of Cardiac Disease

Heart Disease can be caused by different health issues, or inborn heart defects, or heart related problems. The symptoms are also different for different condition like defects in valves of heart, heartbeats problem, weak heart muscle, etc.

Symptoms of heart disease can be different for men and women such as, chest pain more likely occurs in men; shortness of breath, nausea, discomfort in chest, and extreme fatigue in women. Besides these, common symptoms like chest tightness, angina, chest pressure, pain, numbness, weakness or coldness in legs or arms, pain in neck, jaw, throat, upper, abdomen or back can occur.

When you have some serious congenital heart defects it usually occurs immediately after birth and shows symptoms like, pale gray or blue skin, swelling in legs, abdomen or around eyes, infant might have shortness of breath while feeding, and leading less weight gain.

You may experience symptoms such as, fatigue, swelling of legs, ankles or feet, irregular heartbeats, rapid, pounding or fluttering, dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness, fainting, and breathlessness.
