Leflunomide medication is an immunomodulatory agent used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. This component is a monocarboxylic acid amide obtained by formal condensation of the carboxy group. It plays the role of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, an antineoplastic agent, an antiparasitic agent, a hepatotoxic agent, a prodrug, a pyrimidine synthesis inhibitor, and an immunosuppressive agent. It also acts as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor.
