Granisetron is the derivative of indazole with antiemetic properties. It is an active component belongs to a class of drugs known as a selective serotonin receptor antagonist. It blocks the action of serotonin at 5-HT3 receptors that leads to the suppression of chemotherapy and radiotherapy that induced nausea and vomiting.
