Active Ingredient: The main active ingredient of this medication is Paroxetine Hydrochloride. It is a highly potent and selective 5-HT uptake inhibitor that binds with high affinity to the serotonin transporter. This active component plays the role of an antidepressant, an anxiolytic drug, a serotonin uptake inhibitor, a hepatotoxic agent and a P450 inhibitor. This drug is a member of piperidines, a member of benzodioxoles, an organofluorine compound and an aromatic ether. This is derived from a monofluorobenzene. It is a conjugate base of a paroxetinium.
Indications: Paroxetine composed medication is an antidepressant that belongs to a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Paxil affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people suffering from conditions like depression, anxiety, or other disorders. It is used to treat the major depressive disorder.
It can be used to treat panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

Dosages: This medicine is made available for oral administration as a conventional tablet form in dosages as mentioned below:
- 10 mg: It must be taken at once a day with or without food in the morning as directed by the doctor
- 20 mg: This drug is to be administered once a day with or without food as prescribed by the doctor
- 30 mg: This tablet must be consumed once a day in the morning as advised by the doctor
- 40 mg: Administer this drug once a day as recommended by the doctor
Note: Avoid taking MAO inhibitor within 14 days before or 14 days after consuming this medication.
