Indications

Originally, the pill is antidepressant medicine and approved to help for quitting smoking. It is also used in the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder, Seasonal Affective Disorder, and depression. It is used to prevent seasonal affective disorder, a type of depression that occurs each year at the same time especially during winter and to improve mood as well as feelings of well-being.

Action Mechanism

It is believed that this pill Zyban may work by restoring the balance of certain natural substances like dopamine, norepinephrine in the brain. The active ingredient in the pill, Bupropion Hydrochloride might alter the brain chemistry in such a way that nicotine is rendered less effective. It leads to the reduction in interest in smoking, nicotine cravings and withdrawal are minimal. This is how smoking can be controlled by this pill.

Dosages
