Active Ingredient: Ropinirole Hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of ropinirole, a non-ergot dopamine agonist with antiparkinsonian property. Acting as a substitute for dopamine, ropinirole hydrochloride binds to and activates dopamine D2 and D3 receptors within the caudate-putamen in the brain, thereby improving motor function.
Indications: Mentioned medication is indicated alone or with other drugs to treat Parkinson’s disease. Requip can improve the ability to move and reduce shakiness, stiffness, slowed movement, and unsteadiness. This drug may also decrease the number of episodes of not being able to move. It restores the balance of a certain natural substance in the brain.
Action Mechanism: Ropinirole composed medicine belongs to a class of medications called dopamine agonists. Requip has the same effect in the central nervous system as the natural chemical dopamine. This natural chemical in the brain is needed by the body to help control movement. These conditions like Parkinson’s disease, the cells that produce dopamine die. This drug acts by acting in place of the missing dopamine.
