Trazodone Hydrochloride is a synthetic triazolopyridine derivative that has antidepressant and sedative properties. This medicine inhibits the reuptake of serotonin by synaptosomes in the brain to increase serotonin levels in the synaptic cleft and potentiate serotonin activity. This active ingredient is not a monoamine oxidase inhibitor and, unlike amphetamine-type drugs. It does not stimulate the central nervous system.
