Description
Active Ingredient
The main active component in this medicine is Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride, which is the hydrochloride salt form of ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone related to nalidixic acid with antibacterial activity. This component exerts its bactericidal effect by interfering with the bacterial DNA gyrase, thereby inhibiting DNA synthesis and preventing bacterial cell growth.

This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It should not be used to treat viral infections like the common cold, or flu. Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections.
