Active Ingredient

Active component Galantamine Hydrobromide in the medication found in galanthus and other amaryllidaceae. This active ingredient is a cholinesterase inhibitor that used to reverse the muscular effects of gallamine triethiodide and tubocurarine. It is used as a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease and other central nervous system disorders.

The component shows neurocognitive-enhancing activities. It inhibits acetylcholinesterase so as to promote the concentration and enhance the action of acetylcholine. Additionally, the component is a ligand for nicotinic acetylcholine receptors that may increase the presynaptic release of Ach and activate postsynaptic receptors.

Indications

This mentioned medicine is used to treat mild to moderate dementia associated with Alzheimer’s disease. It is not recommended to cure Alzheimer’s disease, but it may improve memory, awareness, and the ability to perform daily activities. Razadyne ER restores the balance of certain natural substances like neurotransmitters in the brain.

Razadyne ER inhibits the action of acetylcholinesterase, the enzyme that destructs acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter in the brain nerve cells use to communicate with one another. Decreased levels of acetylcholine in the brain is responsible for some of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. This medication increases the concentration of acetylcholine in the brain that improves thinking.

Dosages

This medicine is available in the following dosage:

• 8 mg: It is available as an extended-release tablet should be taken with food once a day in the morning with breakfast or as directed by the doctor
