Ziagen is a medicine that controls HIV infection with HIV medications. The medicine decreases the amount of HIV in the body. It is composed of the main active ingredient Abacavir Sulfate, which belongs to a class of drugs known as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Active Ingredient: The main active ingredient in this medicine is Abacavir Sulfate. This active component is approved to treat HIV infection in adults and children 3 months of age and older. It shall be used with in combination with other HIV medicines.
