Description

Active Ingredient: The main active component of this medicine is a Torsemide. This medication is an aminopyridine sulfonylurea belonging to the class of loop diuretics. It has a prolonged duration of action compared to other loop diuretics. It is a Loop Diuretic that has the effect of torsemide is by means of Increased Diuresis at the Loop of Henle.

Indications: Torsemide composed of medicine is indicated to reduce extra fluid in the body or edema caused by conditions such as heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease. It also lowers symptoms like shortness of breath and swelling in arms, legs, and abdomen. Demadex also treats high blood pressure. Decreasing high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. It is a water pill that causes to make more urine. It also helps the body get rid of extra water and salt.

Action Mechanism: Given medication belongs to a group of drugs known as diuretics or water pills. Demadex works by causing the kidney to excrete more water and electrolytes, including sodium chloride. This drug helps remove excess fluid, relieving edema and lowers the blood pressure.

Dosages: This mentioned medication is used in dosages as given below:

• 10 mg: This tablet must be taken once a day with or without food as mentioned in the prescription by the doctor
• 20 mg: It is to be taken once a day as prescribed by the doctor, do not go against the doctor
