This medication is composed of the active component Ketoprofen. This ingredient is a propionic acid derivate and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. This drug shows anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. It acts by inhibiting the activity of the enzymes cyclo-oxygenase I and II, leading to a reduction in the formation of precursors of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. This decrease in prostaglandin synthesis, by prostaglandin synthase, is for the therapeutic effects of ibuprofen. \This medication can induce a decrease in thromboxane A2 synthesis to inhibit platelet aggregation. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that treats acute pain and chronic arthritis.

Ketoprofen-composed medicine Orudis E is approved to relieve pain from various conditions. It can be used to reduce pain, swelling, and joint stiffness from arthritis. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that acts by blocking the production of certain natural substances by the body that causes inflammation. It also helps to decrease swelling, pain, or fever.

Action Mechanism
This medication belongs to a group of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that helps reduce pain, inflammation, and fever. The exact mechanism of action of this drug is not known which may help decrease swelling by decreasing the level of prostaglandin, a hormone-like substance that usually causes inflammation.
Dosages
This effective medicine is available for oral administration in dosages as given below:
- 50 mg: It is an enteric-coated tablet that should be taken 3 to 4 times a day with a full glass of water, or as directed by the doctor
- 100 mg: This medication is to be consumed 3 to 4 times a day exactly as prescribed by the doctor, do not go against it.
Note
It is advisable to avoid lying down for at least 10 minutes after consuming this drug. It can be taken with food, milk, or an antacid to avoid stomach upset.
