Active Ingredient
It contains combination of two ingredients Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate. Emtricitabine is a human immunodeficiency virus nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor used in the prevention of human immunodeficiency virus infection and the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate is used in the treatment of HIV infection that plays the role of a prodrug, a HIV-1 reverse transcriptase inhibitor and an antiviral drug. This component contains a tenofovir disoproxil.
Indications
This combination of two active ingredients is used to help control HIV infection. Truvada helps to decrease the amount of HIV in the body so the immune system can work better. It also minimizes the chance of getting HIV complications like new infections, cancer and improves the quality of life. It contains nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor and nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor.
Truvada is also approved to help prevent HIV infection in people who have a high risk for infection.

Action Mechanism
It is composed of two active component nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor and nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor. These both ingredients are antiviral medicines that used to prevent human immunodeficiency virus from multiplying in the body.
Dosages
Given medication is available in the form of conventional tablet form in dosage as follows:
- 200 mg + 300 mg: Administer this medicine once a day with or without food exactly as mentioned in the prescribed by the doctor
