Description
Active Ingredient: Topiramate is an active ingredient used in medicines to treat migraine. It prevents and controls seizures or epilepsy. This component also helps to prevent migraine headaches and reduce how often they get them. It will not treat a migraine headache once it occurs. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Topamax can be taken with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break a Topamax tablet. Swallow the tablet whole.
What other drugs will affect Topamax?
Taking Topamax with other drugs that leads to sleepiness can worsen this effect. Ask the doctor before taking a sleeping pill, opioid pain medication, muscle relaxer, or medicine for anxiety or depression.
