Cozaar (losartan) belongs to a group of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists (sometimes called ARB blockers). It keeps blood vessels from narrowing that shall lower blood pressure and might improve the blood flow.
What is Cozaar used for?
Cozaar is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children that are at least 6 years old. It is also used to lower the risk of stroke in certain people with heart disease.
