What is Prinivil?
Prinivil is an ACE inhibitor. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme.
What is Prinivil used for?
Prinivil is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children who are at least 6 years old. The medicine is also used to treat congestive heart failure in adults, or to improve survival after a heart attack.
How to consume Prinivil?
Drink plenty of water each day while you are taking this medicine. Take Prinivil exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The medicine can be taken with or without food.
What should be avoided while taking Prinivil?
Drinking alcohol can further lower the blood pressure and may increase certain side effects of Prinivil. Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercise, in hot weather, or by not drinking enough fluids. The medicine can decrease sweating and it may be more prone to heat stroke.
What happens if doasge of this medicine is missed?
Take the missed dose as soon as remembered or skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose.
