What is Ilosone?
Ilosone is a prescription medication used to treat infections caused by bacteria. The medicine belongs to a group of drugs called macrolide antibiotics.
When should Ilosone be consumed?
Erythromycin is usually given four times a day. This is usually first thing in the morning (before breakfast), at about midday (before lunch), late in the afternoon (before tea) and at bedtime.
When Ilosone starts working?
Child should start to get better after taking the medicine for 2 days. It is important to take the whole course of medicine that has been prescribed. Do not stop early.
Are there any possible side-effects with Ilosone?
Side-effects are rare with erythromycin and do not usually last for long. They will get better after a day or two as it gets the body gets used to the medicine, and should go away when the treatment course is finished.
Where should this medicine be kept?
Keep this medicine in a cupboard, away from heat, direct sunlight and excess moisture (do not keep it in the bathroom).
