What is Pyralin used for?
Pyralin is used to treat and prevent ulcerative colitis. It works inside the bowels by helping to reduce the inflammation and other symptoms of the disease.
How to consume Pyralin?
Take Pyralin tablets orally after meals. Take the medicine with a full glass of water (8 oz [240 mL]). Swallow the tablets as whole. Do not break, crush, or chew it before swallowing.
What other condition does Pyralin treat?
Pyralin is also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis in children and adults who have used other arthritis medicines that did not work or have stopped working.
What is to be done in case a dose of Pyralin is missed?
If Pyralin tablet consumption is missed, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to regular dosing schedule. Do not take multiple doses at once.
How Pyralin work?
After an attack is treated, Pyralin is also used to increase the amount of time between attacks. This medication works by reducing irritation and swelling in the large intestines.
