What Extine is used for?
EXTINE belongs to a group of medicines called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants. They are thought to work by their action on brain chemicals called amines which are involved in controlling mood.
What is to be taken care of before using Extine?
Antidepressants can increase suicidal thoughts and actions in some children and adolescents younger than 18 years of age. Patients (and caregivers of patients) need to monitor for any worsening of their condition and/or the emergence of thoughts of suicide or suicidal behaviour or thoughts of harming themselves.
How Extine works?
Extine increases the amount of the hormone serotonin that your body makes and releases in your brain. Serotonin helps with symptoms of depression, compulsions, stress, and anxiety.

Is alcohol consumption safe while taking this medicine?
