What is Panto?
Panto is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
What is Panto used for?
Panto is used for treating erosive esophagitis (damage to the esophagus from stomach acid caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD) in adults and children who are at least 5 years old. It is usually given for up to 8 weeks at a time while your esophagus heals.
How to use Panto?
Take the medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow Panto as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. The tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Panto works?
Panto Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which in turn relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
What if a dose of Panto is missed?
In case a dose of Panto is missed, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
