How to consume Isohexal?
Swallow the capsule with a full glass of water or other liquid. Do not break, crush, chew, or suck on the capsule before swallowing. This will help prevent the medication inside the capsule from irritating your throat.

Swallow capsules whole. Do not crush or chew them. Isohexal is usually taken twice daily for 15-20 weeks, or as directed by your doctor. Directions for most generic forms of Isohexal state that it should be taken with meals.

Is it safe to use Isohexal during pregnancy and lactation?
Isohexal has a pronounced teratogenic and embryotoxic action. Isohexal is contraindicated in established and planned pregnancy. Also Isohexal is contraindicated during lactation.
