What is Brufen?
Ibuprofen is a painkiller and is also known by the brand name Brufen. It is a part of many other painkiller combination medicines.
How does Brufen work?
Brufen controls pain by blocking messages to the brain that locates the pain. It also reduces swelling (inflammation) that presses on nerves.
How to consume Brufen?
Brufen tablet, capsule or caplet are safe for cosumption with a glass of water. It is important to have it with milk or food. Taking it on an empty stomach can irritate the stomach lining and shall lead to bleeding.
When to have Brufen?
The usual dose for adults is 400 mg every 4 to 6 hours. It also means that Brufen can be take up to 2,400 mg a day, divided into 3 or 4 doses. You must not take more than 2,400 mg in 24 hours.
Is Brufen safe for usage during pregnancy?
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits are to be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine.
