What is Biltricide?
Biltricide is used to treat infections caused by Schistosoma worms that enter the body through skin that might come into contact with contaminated water.
How should Biltricide be consumed?
Biltricide is usually taken 3 times in one day. Take doses 4 to 6 hours apart on that day. Biltricide should be taken with a meal and a full glass (8 ounces) of water.
What should be avoided while consuming Biltricide?
Avoid driving or performing hazardous activity on the day you take Biltricide, and also the day after. Your reactions could be impaired. Grapefruit may interact with Biltricide and shall lead to some unwanted side effects. Avoid using grapefruit products.
What other drugs will affect Biltricide?
Sometimes it is not safe for using certain medications at the same time. Some drugs can affect blood levels of other drugs consumed that might enhance side effects or make the medications less effective.
How can children take Biltricide?
If child taking Biltricide cannot swallow tablet or portion as whole, crush the tablet and mix it with a liquid or semi-solid food. The child should swallow the mixture right away without chewing.
