What is Rimactane used for?
Rimactane is used together with other medicines to treat tuberculosis (TB) in many different parts of the body. It is also used by patients who have a meningitis bacteria in their nose or throat to prevent the spread of the bacteria to other patients.
What is Rimactane?
Rimactane belongs to the class of medicines called antibiotics and works to kill or prevent the growth of bacteria. However, it will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.
How to consume Rimactane?
Take Rimactane capsules by mouth on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating with a full glass of water. Do not take an antacid within 1 hour after you take Rimactane capsules.
What if a dosage is missed?
If you miss a dose of Rimactane, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
