Compazine is an anti-psychotic medicine in a group of drugs called phenothiazines. It works by changing the actions of chemicals in your brain.
What is Compazine used for?
Compazine (oral medicine) is used to treat psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. It is also used to treat anxiety, and to control severe nausea and vomiting.
How should be Compazine consumed?
Follow directions on prescription label. The doctor might occasionally change dose. Do not use Compazine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. If you take Compazine long-term, you might need frequent medical tests.
What should be avoided while taking Compazine?
This medication may cause drowsiness or blurred vision and may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert and able to see clearly.
How should be Compazine stored?
Compazine is recommended to be stored below 30°C (86 F). All other dosage forms may be stored between 15°C to 30°C (59 F to 86°F).
