Starlix is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. This medicine helps the body respond better to insulin produced by the pancreas.
What is Starlix used for?
Starlix is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medicine is not for treating type 1 diabetes.
What should be told to the doctor before taking Starlix?
Before taking this medicine if already been treated with diabetic ketoacidosis, liver disease; or gout.
How should Starlix be taken?
Take Starlix exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Starlix is usually taken 3 times daily, within 1 to 30 minutes before a meal. If skipped a meal, do not take the dose of Starlix. Wait until the next meal.
How to discard Starlix?
Starlix should be discarded safely. Follow the instructions on the strip for disposal. Do not flush down the medicine unless mentioned to do so.
