Working: Given medicine belongs to a class of drugs called anticholinergics. Trihexyphenidyl Hydrochloride is supposed to act by restricting the function of a certain part of the nervous system that regulates body movements. It also helps relax certain muscles and makes movement trouble-free.

Uses: This medicine is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of Parkinson's disease or involuntary movements due to the side effects of certain psychiatric drugs. It also acts as the antipsychotic medication such as chlorpromazine/haloperidol. It can stop severe muscle spasms of the back, neck, and eyes that are caused by psychiatric drugs. This pill can also reduce other side effects such as muscle stiffness/rigidity. Trihexyphenidyl Hydrochloride is not recommended for the treatment of movement problems caused by tardive dyskinesia.
