Dutasteride / Tamsulosin Hydrochloride is a combination of two active ingredients used to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. Dutasteride forms a stable enzyme complex and inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to alpha-dihydrotestosterone, the reduction in DHT activity may mitigate or prevent enlargement of the prostate gland. Working: A combination of two ingredients Dutasteride / Tamsulosin Hydrochloride restricts the action of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. It changes testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate gland to grow. The active component Dutasteride causes the size of the prostate to reduce. Another ingredient helps relax the muscles in the prostate gland and the opening of the bladder that increases the flow of urine or decrease symptoms.
Uses: This medicinal product is indicated in men for the treatment of the symptoms of an enlarged prostate i.e. benign prostatic hyperplasia-BPH.
