This medicine is a combination of two active ingredients, Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Chemically, these active components are a hormone. Drospirenone is a progestin and Progesterone Congeners. It plays the role of a contraceptive drug, an aldosterone antagonist and a progestin. Ethinyl Estradiol is an estrogen receptor agonist that exhibits high estrogenic potency on oral administration. It acts as a xenoestrogen.
Indications
This medicinal drug is indicated to prevent pregnancy. It prevents the release of an egg during the menstrual cycle. It prevents the fertilization of an egg. It can also be used to treat a premenstrual dysphoric disorder or moderate acne. Yaz can make menstrual periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, and decrease the risk of ovarian cysts.

Action Mechanism
The mentioned medicine available for the oral administration. Yaz tablets contain a combination of progesterone and estrogen hormones. It is a combination birth control pill containing female hormones, which helps to prevent ovulation at the release of an egg from an ovary. It also causes changes in the cervical mucus and uterine lining that makes it harder for sperm to reach the uterus and harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus. This way, pregnancy is prevented.
Dosages
The dosage of this conventional tablet is as mentioned below:
- 3 mg + 0.02 mg: This contraceptive medicine should be taken exactly as advised by the doctor. Do not go against it
Note
Consume one active pill once a day for 24 days in a row. It does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases like HIV, gonorrhea, or chlamydia.
